Ariana & Evans Poison Hemlock Aftershave Splash

Ariana & Evans Poison Hemlock Aftershave Splash is difficult to categorize. Is it a gourmand (no) or an Oriental fragrance? The scent is dark yet uplifting, tart and sweet, fresh and dirty…it’s magnificent.

The black hemlock absolute used is wonderful, very resinous, and thick. The black currant and fig counterbalance each other and provide added warmth, bringing this scent to life. The addition of rose absolute and violet also plays really well with the very dark notes, such as labdanum and, of course, the hemlock. The additional note of incense really turns this into an exotic and intoxicating scent.
